It’s the start of a new year and a new decade and our first event of both is finally here!
Blisspop is pleased to present Mighty Mouse (Glitterbox Recordings) at Backbar this Friday, January 10 and you won’t want to miss it!
Born Matthew Haymes, Mighty Mouse has been creating and spinning fantastic disco tracks for over a decade, but during the last couple of years, his star has truly risen. His 2018 Glitterbox release “The Spirit” was everywhere that year, with DJ’s such as Dimitri From Paris, Joey Negro and The Magician spinning the track and BBC Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac declaring it her “Hottest Record In The World” upon release. Inspired by 80s and alternative music as well as disco, Mighty Mouse is a versatile talent, capable of creating masterful original tracks, smooth edits and well-curated DJ mixes. His live electronic duo Du Tonc, where he partners with vocalist Matt Van Schie (Van She) to create dreamy yet danceable synth pop, is also on the rise, with their debut album forthcoming.
Blisspop’s Will Eastman and Rose Corps will be providing support duties. Tickets can be purchased through U Street Music Hall’s website and it is highly recommended that you purchase your ticket beforehand as there will only be a limited number of tickets at the door. The fun starts at 11pm and we can’t wait to see you there!
