Homeboi – Côte D’Azur
I introduced you all to Homeboi, the young French-house producer from Germany, back in November with his debut EP Shrimps. With much anticipation since then, I’m now pleased to announce that he’s just released another gorgeous track that will melt your beat-sicle before you can tell what color it is. The track is Côte D’Azur which is named after the beautiful southeastern coastline of France so if this isn’t enough to get you hyped on summer, I don’t know what will. The track ripples in with waves and playful beach sounds before crashing into a spaceless 8-bit rhythm. I find it exciting to recognize Homeboi’s unique quick synth tone that we heard from his previous work, showing that he’s found a little niche already at the age of 20. Côte D’Azur proudly represents the beachy vibe of the French region as well as the beautiful weather that’s soon to arrive here in the states (knock on wood), definitely promoting Homeboi to my sweet summer soundtrack. Catch this track on CôteD’Azur/SainTropez EP that he co-produced with other German producer OHYEAH on Indo Silver Records.
I’d also recommend getting more familiar with OHYEAH with his funky rework of Shrimps below that switched seasons to give me chills with his amazing orchestral addition.
