It is rare for a musician to achieve commercial success without having to compromise on the authenticity of their sound or limit their raw emotional expression, but Lane 8 (née Daniel Goldstein) has managed to attract a vast and dedicated fan base while still delivering masterful works of art. His synth-heavy live performance is slated to hit the stage of DC’s 930 Club on Thursday, February 22nd, presented by the good folks at U Street Music Hall, mirroring the Denver-based artist’s magnificent growth since last gracing the decks in at U Hall. The Little by Little tour promotes the recent release of his second studio album of the same name, out now on his own event and label concept This Never Happened. Little by Little features some of the highest-quality sound design in the genre – exemplified by the lead single “No Captain,” the synergistic collaboration with synth-pop group Poliça.

As if I wasn’t excited enough already, Lane 8 has also tapped DC’s own Enamour to join him on tour starting next week, so fans can expect to enjoy emotionally-driven deep house from the second they arrive. Ostensibly in celebration of the upcoming events, Enamour has just released an energetic remix of Lane 8’s “Skin & Bones,” which creatively revamps the original track with the DC-resident’s upbeat synth design. The remix climaxes with a distorted bass line that is reminiscent of ‘80’s glam-rock, and shows another step in the solidification of his signature sound that was well-received on his last original release, “Embody,” for mau5trap.

Do not miss out on this unique opportunity to catch two hyper-talented musicians in one of the country’s best venues, because you won’t be able to see it on social media – Lane 8 requests that all fans restrain from using their phones to experience the events with full immersion. If you need any additional convincing just give Little by Little a listen below, and purchase tickets here.
