Due to an emergency, The Magician has had to cancel the rest of his U.S. tour. We wish him all the best and are looking forward to catching him in DC the next time around.

We’re excited to announce French Express label boss/son of Zeus/KING OF THE GODS Perseus has been added to tonight’s bill, and will make his U Street Music Hall/Blisspop debut with Plastic Plates and Only Children!

In addition to manning one of nu disco’s rising labels (with Moon Boots, Chris Malinchak, Jonas Rathsman, Errka and Issac Tichauer on the roster), Perseus is widely known for his accessible R&B-influenced tropical disco/house productions; sampling from the likes of PM Dawn, Faith Evans, Toni Braxton and Ashanti.

His tracks have become a staple throughout The Magician’s Magic Tapes (appearing in at least six mixes in the series), and he’s lent a hand in remixing for Mark Ronson, Grum and Jeremy Glenn.

Get familiar with a few of his tracks and mixes below, and get friendly with him tonight at U Street Music Hall – 10pm, $10 - Tickets | RSVP

Perseus – Russian Girlfriends

Perseus – Love In Zanzibar

Perseus – Running Back To You

Perseus – Dazed Digital Mix
