Popping out of NYC comes an independent duo calling themselves Bikini. Interestingly enough, they formed the tracks from their latest EP RIPJDS individually. It began with the musically educated Olivier Olivier producing the melodies and vocals, and then passing the unnamed drafts to Nigel Diamond who arranged the tracks into their final form. If you ask me, I think the name Bikini fits perfect; two objects work separately to create a beautiful piece of art – resembling the swimwear, if you didn’t catch on. Anyways, in the end, they present suspenseful, reckless dance pop that makes me want to, well, dance recklessly. Below is my recommended track from RIPJDS, but I also suggest watching their video for ACheerlaeder to get you in that hasty mood.

Take a listen to the rest of the EP on their Bandcamp and, if you enjoy, they have a free download on their website.
