Hahaha, our dude Harry Dixon with R. Kelly. R. Kelly stopped by the club and ended up in the booth with him at the end of the night, free stylin on the mic to Bump n’ Grind. Remember good people, as various media organizations begin to distribute their best of 2000’s lists, any list without “Ignition (Remix)” is highly suspect.
This video, quell awesome. LOL @ Billy Corgan. Wait til the end. Wish Corgan would have handed the audience a squash instead of a timpani drum solo at Smashing Pumpkins’ most recent DC show at DAR.
Many months in the making, I’m excited to announce my first single, Feelin’ will be released this Friday, November 27 on vinyl 12″ and as a Beatport exclusive. The single includes remixes by some of DC’s finest producers and DJs, Nadastrom, Tittsworth and Dmerit, and fully hits the digital shelves December 11 on iTunes, Amazon, etc. It’s released by Plant Music, the NYC dance music record label run by Dominique Keegan of The Glass and legendary NYC Hip-Hop radio DJ Stretch Armstrong.
We’re hosting a record release party at BLISS this Saturday, November 28. Yes Giantess (Neon Gold records) will join us on the decks along with my long-time friend, and stellar DJ Christine Moritz. Check out Yes Giantess’s track “Tuff N Stuff” here:
Kylos goes in on the live video delights. We’ll give away free cds of Feelin’ original mix and my new DJ mix ANNIHILATE THE WEEKEND to the first 50 peeps in the door.
Our first edition of Guest Hit Parade features an excellent playlist hand picked by our good friends Yes Giantess. See them DJ live this Saturday at Bliss Dance Party!
Led by Alex Brown Church (a spitting image of Beck if we ever saw one), Sea Wolf define their sound through their single “Wicked Blood”, a country-infected indiepop jam. Cop the MP3 below.

It features his new single “Here He Comes” with Nina Sky & Pitbull, available now on Beatport. Casper Bangs is set to release a shoegaze, C86-inflected ep December 1st. Here’s a preview. You can already DL the ep, written, produced, performed + recorded by Rob Pierangeli, on Band Camp, and name your own price. Rob is carrying the torch for indiepop in DC these days and this ep makes me smile, like a new Slumberland single in 1995. Keep the faith, Rob!
Classixx (formally known as “Young Americans”) released a heavy arsenal of elite remixes in 2009. Their remixes of Phoenix’s “Lisztomania” and Yacht’s “Psychic City” will not doubt go down as some of the best of the year after they dominated the indie blogosphere. Classixx have a special talent in their ability to turn an already great song into a complex, highly accessible better song, a task that is rarely done and almost never perfected. DL both tracks below, as well as a KILLER reworked version of the “Psychic City” remix.
